The Viking Restaurant

Sometime in December, Russell and I drove to St. Augustine to see a play put on by the Chameleon Theatre. They performed on the second floor of The Viking Restaurant. They helped each other out. If you bought a ticket to the play, you got a discount on dinner. Well, that's what Russell and I did. We very much enjoyed the play and then headed downstairs to eat.

It was interesting to say the least. We ordered a special kind of meal. They brought us a Wood Platter heated to above 600 degrees. We cooked our own meat right there at the table. Shrimp, alligator, and ostrich to be precise. (Quickly, because I know your wondering: ostrich is red meat that tastes like chewy beef, I liked it; gator is like chewy pork, not much taste)

It was fun. I don't think we'll go again. Once was enough. But, if you're adventurous, and you like potato boats, go for it!
